The Freixenet Cava business started in 1914 with Pere Ferrer Bosch, the son of “La Freixeneda,” the family estate located in the Alt Penedès region of Spain. Right from the start they decided to produce only Cava, a natural sparkling wine, following the method used in Champagne (France).
Cordon Negro Brut is crisp, clean, and well balanced. It’s medium-bodied with a taste of apple, pear, and bright citrus flavors with a moderately long finish and a crisp touch of ginger.
This sparkling wine is extremely versatile and pairs well with most food.

Pink-Tastic Raspberry Bellini Recipe
The combination of champagne and sorbet is a perfect — and simple — Valentine’s Day treat.
With only three ingredients you can whip this cocktail up at the end of your night for a sweet ending to your holiday.
I used Barefoot Pink Moscato Champagne, a rosé champagne that pops out of the bottle bursting with a sweet, juicy flavor and jasmine perfume, produced from its moscato, zinfandel and grenache grapes. This sparking wine from the amazing line of Barefoot Bubbly is the sweetest on the scale, but you can easily pull back on the sweet tones with other Barefoot Bubbly options if you choose.
Ingredients
Raspberry sorbet
Pink champagne — I used Barefoot Pink Moscato
Fresh raspberries for garnish
Directions
Add small scoops of raspberry sorbet into your favorite glass. Recommendation: even though champagne flutes are perfect for champagne, using a wider-mouthed glass makes scooping much easier!
Slowly pour champagne over sorbet, filling each glass about 1/4 full. Let bubbles settle then go back and add champagne to cover sorbet in each glass.
Garnish with raspberries.
Add small spoon to scoop or simply sip and enjoy!
